Project objectives
The two main objectives of the GATOM project were:
- To develop inventories of the various education/training possibilities to acquire knowledge, competence and skills, particularly in the context of occupational change in the construction, healthcare and tourism sectors in the seven countries participating in the study;
- To prepare seven national and one consolidated European assessment reports outlining the available education/training possibilities meeting the needs and requirements of enterprises and labour market participants for imparting relevant knowledge in the construction, healthcare and tourism sectors.
One of the outcomes of these GATOM project objectives was the assessment of the gap between what is offered and what is demanded in the three profiled sectors across the seven Member States.
